Emergency services

Seinäjoki Central Hospital’s Emergency Outpatient Clinic provides treatment to patients in need of urgent care around the clock. The Emergency Outpatient Clinic provides specialised medical care in emergency situations and houses the joint emergency services agreed upon by the health centres in the South Ostrobothnia region.

Without a referral, Seinäjoki Central Hospital’s Emergency Outpatient Clinic provides treatment in the case of severe illnesses and accidents that threaten the patient’s life and health as well as illnesses whose treatment cannot be postponed to the following day or over the weekend.

During office hours, patients with a sudden illness or injury are treated at their own health centres and stations. Outside of office hours, health centres are available by appointment to patients in need of urgent care. Night-time emergency services are provided at Seinäjoki Central Hospital’s Emergency Outpatient Clinic. When your own health centre is closed, call the Central Hospital’s Emergency Outpatient Clinic before leaving for the clinic, tel. 06 415 4555.

The Emergency Outpatient Clinic operates in Seinäjoki Central Hospital’s Building Y (Koskenalantie 18, 60220 Seinäjoki). The same floor also houses the emergency first aid services of Seinäjoki Health Centre.

If you do not have a referral, you should primarily contact your own health centre, see Health centres.

In case of emergency, call 112.
